Insurance stocks up
Three stocks climbed as the Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange advanced 27.87 points (0.53 percent) to close at 5,251.65.
Insurance group BF&M enjoyed the biggest gain, improving 65 cents (3.5 percent) after 400 shares were traded, to close at $19.15.
In the same sector Argus Group put on 50 cents (3.3 percent) per share as 300 changed hands to close at $15.50.
The other mover on the day was Bermuda Commercial Bank which saw a 25 cents (2.4 percent) improvement in its share value after 700 were traded, closing at $10.75.
The only other activity was in shares of Butterfield Bank where 2,310 changed hands but without affecting the closing price of $62, currently a 52-week high for the stock.
Volume of shares traded was 3,710, representing a value of $163,025.
