Zina Edwards Malcolm has been appointed by the Fresco's Group as director of training and development.

She was previously working for the Bermuda Broadcasting Company as account executive, as well as host and co-producer of the Bermuda Now show. Before that she was general manager of the Gucci Boutique and then area manager for the Bermuda Department of Tourism in the New York tri-state area.

Ms Malcolm's role will entail customer service training, brand refinement, best practices implementation and marketing. She is currently conducting an assessment of each of the Fresco's properties and will be delivering the audit with a view to increase customer satisfaction, efficiency and quality control, a statement from the Fresco's Group said.

The Fresco's Group includes the Fresco's Wine-bar, Aqua at Ariel Sands and the Tahi restaurant Silk.

SCA to answer investors' questions

Security Capital Assurance announced yesterday that the company will host a conference call to provide additional information regarding its insured collateralised debt obligation and residential mortgage backed securities portfolios on Friday, August 3 at 10.30 a.m. Bermuda time.

Paul Giordano, chief executive officer, and Edward Hubbard, executive vice-president and chief operating officer, will host the call and will be accompanied by key executives from the company's RMBS and CDO business units. The presentation will be followed by an open question and answer session with the investment community.

The company announced a fall in second-quarter profits this week.

HSBC Corporate Money Fund delisted by BSX

The BSX yesterday announced the de-listing of the HSBC Corporate Money Fund Limited ¿ Australian Dollar Fund and Swiss Franc Fund.
