Busy end to 2009

It proved to be a busy final day of the year, with no fewer than three companies seeing their shares prices drop on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) on Thursday.
Bermuda Commercial Bank fell 20 percent ($1.10) to $4.40, with 500 shares traded.
Watlington Waterworks Ltd. also declined 17 percent ($2.25) to $11, as 1,000 shares changed hands.
Butterfield Bank, meanwhile, transacted 553 common shares to drop 1.3 percent (five cents) to $3.90.
Overall, the Index slid 24.25 points (1.16 percent) to 2,072.41, with 2,053 shares worth $15,519.60 traded.
The BSX Insurance Index also slipped 0.04 points to 962.06.
