Argus Group Holdings Ltd. endured a poor start to 2010 as its shares dropped 5.6 percent (50 cents) to $8.50 on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.

The insurer traded 1,200 shares during the day.

Butterfield Bank also saw 13,400 common shares change hands, rising 3.8 percent (15 cents) to $3.75.

Overall, the Index fell 45.14 points (2.18 percent) to 2,027.27, with 14,600 shares worth $60,930 transacted.

The BSX Insurance Index also declined 0.04 points to 962.06 - the same amount as the last trade in 2009.
