AdVantage wins US awards

Local advertising agency AdVantage Ltd. has brought home six accolades for creative excellence from the US-based Creativity Awards.

The Creativity competition saw more than 7,200 entries submitted from 31 countries and 45 states.

"Great clients help inspire great work," said AdVantage president Sheila Semos. "This shows that it really doesn't matter what size organisation you are, you can still do effective, insightful and memorable communication that helps you reach your goals."

AdVantage won awards in the category of consumer newspaper ad/campaign for its work for both The Reefs and Swiss Timing.

It picked up an award for magazine ad/campaign award for Cuarenta Bucaneros. Green Man Landscaping won an award in the Trademarks & Logotypes category while AdVantage also won in the category of promotional campaign for its work on the Bermuda Festival. The agency also won an recognition for the work it did for itself in the category of New Media, Self-promotion.

"We are especially thrilled for our clients," said Susan Tang-Petersen, AdVantage's senior vice president. "There is something inherently satisfying when you work as a team to produce creative work that not only produces results for your client, but is recognised by the industry for the quality creative we try to achieve."

Other agencies singled out for awards include: McCann Erickson, New York; Publicis Dialog, California; Young & Rubicam Advertising, Germany; and Lewis & Moberly, UK.

All of the winning work will be published in Creativity 35, an annual showcase for outstanding work in advertising and graphic design. The 400-page book will be distributed to more than 100 countries around the world.
