Anchor Investment Management has opened its new head office at Jardine House on Reid Street.

Anchor, which is also celebrating its tenth anniversary, said it has upgraded its communication and technology infrastructure at the new head office, which opened on November 1.

Managing director Jeffrey Brewer said: "I spent 18 years developing advanced research systems, in the US, Canada and the UK, and I am amazed at Bermuda's ability to continue to keep pace in the rapidly evolving technology and communication industries.

"We can compete with any of the major firms in New York or London using our unique portfolio management systems and also provide the local support that our offshore clients require."

Mr. Brewer added: "Ten years ago we introduced the concept of building individual segregated portfolios for offshore investment accounts over $1 million, using Anchor's state of the art quantitative research technology.

"Anchor has grown to become a leading offshore investment management organisation, providing portfolio management services to the trust and high net-worth market.
