LONDON (Bloomberg) ? Aquarius Platinum Ltd., which mines platinum and palladium in Southern Africa, said third- quarter profit more than tripled from a year ago.

Net income rose to $18.6 million, or 22.2 cents per share, the Bermuda-based company said in a statement yesterday. Aquarius reported net income of $5.97 million, or 7.22 cents per share, in the third quarter last year.
