The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index gained 17.89 points yesterday to close at 4,381.77.

On a moderate day of trading Argus gained 50 cents to close at $14.50 as 300 shares changed hands and Bermuda Commercial Bank rose 20 cents to close at $7.75 on volume of 4,000 shares.

While no other issues changed price, Butterfield Bank traded in 1,203 shares to close unchanged at $55.75 and Kentucky Fried Chicken traded in 375 shares to close unchanged at $6.

The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX yesterday was $104,467.25 and the overall volume of shares was 5,878.
