BCS soars in light trading

Bermuda Computer Services shares soared 66.7 percent on the Bermuda Stock Exchange yesterday as the shares traded for the first time since December.

BCS, which announced earnings last week, saw its shares jump $2 to $5 on volume of just 300 shares.

Bermuda Press (Holdings) Ltd. shares slumped by $2 or 16.7 percent to close off their 52-week high to $10 on volume of 2,000 shares.

Belco shares rose $1.30 to $30.30 on volume of 946 shares, while KeyTech Holdings slipped 30 cents to $10.25 on volume of 850.

The Royal Gazette/BSX index rose 1.24 points to 2,446.32 on volume of 8,396 shares worth $125,052.25.
