The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index fell 19.22 points yesterday to close at 4,877.68.

On a day of light trading, Belco was the only issue to advance, gaining ten cents to close at $21.20 as investors traded in 6,475 shares.

Butterfield Bank fell 25 cents to close at $58.50 on volume of 11,795 shares and Argus fell 25 cents to close at $14.25 on volume of 100 shares.

The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX yesterday was $829,602.50 and the overall volume of shares was 18,370.
