Information security provider QuoVadis has seen sharp growth in demand for a system that monitors the security of company's I.T. system.

QuoVadis said it provides the service to a range of local businesses and institutions, as well as to the overseas operations of several exempt companies throughout half a dozen countries.

The service offering, called Sentry, provides around-the-clock monitoring of computer systems and security devices to allow immediate detection of, and immediate response to, security threats. QuoVadis CEO Roman Brunner said: "As companies come under increasing pressure from customers and regulators to provide effective information security, Sentry is an important means for them to prove that their security measures are functioning as planned."

He continued: "Buying security technology is not enough ? you need to maintain constant expert vigilance on security activity. Put simply, the best house alarm won't do you any good if it goes off every time the wind blows, or if the police don't respond when a real burglar breaks in. Sentry provides 24-hour surveillance from trained security experts allowing our customers to respond quickly and to minimise impact. For Sentry, QuoVadis works closely with Counterpane Internet Security which operates three Security Operations Centres in the United States and Europe.
