Bermuda Management Holdings Ltd. has upped its stake in Kentucky Fried Chicken (Bermuda) Ltd. to 37.78 percent, it announced yesterday.

KFC said in a press statement that BMH acquired 54,265 shares or 9.1 percent of KFC for $4 per share or $217,060 from Regina Via Ltd., which merged with Sonshel Ltd.

KFC shares last traded at $5 on October 27. The current bid price for the shares in $4.05.

The private transaction was effective on December 2.

In other Bermuda Stock Exchange news, LOM (Holdings) Limited (LOM) on Friday informed the Exchange (BSX) that it had repurchased 5,000 shares on November 29 at a cost of $15,000 and 20,000 shares on December 16 at a cost of $60,000.

The shares have now been cancelled.
