Dave Brining, one of the founders of Max Re Capital Ltd. is to retire on April 1.

Mr. Brining, the company?s executive vice president for marketing and client services is retiring in order to pursue personal interests. Before taking up his current post in 2003, he successfully established and led Max Re?s property and Casualty reinsurance. ?It is with regret that I received news of Dave?s intention to retire,? said company chairman and chief executive Robert Cooney. ?However, I respect his decision, and I speak on behalf of the Board and his many colleagues and friends at Max Re in wishing him the very best.?

He will continue to assist the company as a consultant.
