The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index gained 26.20 points yesterday to close at 4,919.36.

On a day of light trading, Belco gained $1 to close at $21 as investors traded in 504 shares and Argus rose 25 cents to close at $14.50 on volume of 523 shares.

The only trading activity on the Exchange saw Butterfield Bank trade in 16,273 shares to close unchanged at $59.25.

The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX yesterday was $982,609 and the overall volume of shares was 17,300.
