BSX drops 20.25 points

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index yesterday fell 20.25 points to finish at 3,552.93.A total of 8,600 shares worth $319,375 traded, with Butterfield Bank falling 25 cents from a 52-week high of $42.50 to to $42.25 on volume of 6,500 shares. The bank's shares have traded as low as $36.30 in the last year.

Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd. gained 50 cents to $8 on volume of 500 shares. Bermuda Bakery Ltd. shares fell $5, or more than eight percent, to $55 on volume of 100. And Belco Holdings' investors bought and sold 500 shares while the price traded down $1 to $41.
