The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index fell 270.06 points yesterday to close at 4,886.83.

Belco shares fell $14 to close at $20 as investors traded 120 shares and Butterfield Bank fell 25 cents to close at $59.25 on volume of 38,085 shares.

The only other trading activity saw 18,000 Bermuda Commercial Bank Warrants change hands to remain unchanged at $1.75.

The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX yesterday was $2,299,922.50 and the overall volume of shares was 56,205.
