BSX edges down
The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index on Wednesday fell 1.89 points to finish at 3,249.97.
Butterfield Bank saw more than double the activity of any other BSX-listed company, with investors buying and selling 11,858 shares. The high volume of trading however led to no price swings, with the bank's share price remaining unchanged at $41.
Meanwhile, Bermuda Commercial Bank shareholders pushed up that share price 75 cents ? or 75 percent to $1.75, on trading of 5,000 shares. BCB's current share price compares to a 52-week high of $3 and low of 70 cents.
The volume of trading at Argus Insurance stood at 4,900 shares moving while gaining five cents to finish at $25.50. Rival BF&M shares moved down $1.40 to $14 on trading of 400 shares.
In the media sector, 1,777 Island Press preferred shares moved while gaining 25 cents to $4.
And telecoms company KeyTech ? the parent company of BTC, Mobility, Logic Communications and part owners of Bermuda CableVision and QuoVadis ? saw trading of 3,300 shares while the price fell 50 cents to $10.75.
