The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index gained 9.11 points yesterday to close at 4,415.36.

On a moderate trading Bermuda Commercial Bank gained 35 cents to close at $8.15 as investors traded in 200 shares.

Butterfield Bank rose 25 cents to close at $57.25 on volume of 502 shares and BF&M rose 10 cents to close at $18.60 as 1,555 shares changed hands.

Meanwhile Belco fell 75 cents to close at $38 on volume of 2,000 shares and Argus Group traded in 1,200 shares to close unchanged at $13.

The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX yesterday was $151,892.50 and the overall volume of shares was 5,457shares.
