The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index yesterday gained 0.56 points to finish at 3,176.75.In the transportation sector, Bermuda Container Line saw 1,500 shares change hands while the share price advanced 25 cents to $11.75.

Among banks, Bermuda Commercial Bank saw its shares fall ten cents to $7.65 on trading of 1,932 shares while Butterfield Bank investors bought and sold 2,000 shares.
