BSX falls as banks drop

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index fell 28.94 points yesterday to close at 3,789.55.There were no gains yesterday as Bank of Butterfield fell 50 cents to close at $45.50 as investors traded in 14,200 shares and Bermuda Commercial Bank fell 50 cents to close at $8.50 on volume of 100 shares.

BF&M made a slight loss of 5 cents to close at $16 on volume of 1,900 shares and Argus Insurance remained unchanged at $27 on volume of 4,600 shares.
The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX yesterday was $802,595and the overall volume of shares was 20,800.
