The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index gained 7.85 points or 0.29 percent yesterday to close at 2,679.58. A total of 7,225 shares worth $254,900 were traded.

The Bank of Bermuda was the only stock to change for the day, closing up 25 cents or 0.6 percent to close at $44.50 on volume of 1,200. The Bank of Butterfield saw 6,000 shares change hands, but remained unchanged at $33.50. The only other issue to be traded was Belco Holdings Ltd. which remained unchanged at $30 on volume of 25 shares.
