The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index gained 151.69 points yesterday to close at 4,079.81.

While few issues traded yesterday Butterfield Bank rose $3.20 cents to close at a record high of $50 as investors traded in 4,259 shares.

Belco fell 50 cents to close at $39 on volume of 2,700 shares and Argus Group remained unchanged at $12.75 as 300 shares changed hands.

The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX yesterday was $310,566.20 and the overall volume of shares was 7,259.
