The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index gained 39.28 points yesterday to close at 3,923.28.

On an active day of trading Argus Group Holdings made the only advance of the day, gaining $1.75 to close at $13 as investors traded in 1,038 shares.

BF&M fell 75 cents to close at $17.25 on volume of 500 shares and Belco Holdings also fell 75 cents to close at $40.25 on volume of 500 shares.

While Butterfield Bank closed unchanged at $46.60, investors traded in 4,872 shares and 2000 KeyTech shares changed hands to remain unchanged at $13.

The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX yesterday was $295,212.70 and the overall volume of shares was 8,910.
