BSX jumps 89 points

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index yesterday gained 89.91 points to close at 2,393.82.Argus Insurance had the highest volume of trading on yesterday's BSX with 1,500 shares changing hands. The insurer's stock price took a beating however, falling more than nine percent or $2.05 to $20.50.

The Island's two largest banks each traded 1,000 shares while the Bank of Bermuda gained $2 on its share price to close at $35.
The Bank of Butterfield rose $1.35 to finish at $33.35.
Utility company Belco Holdings gained $2.50 to close at $32.50 while trading 1,050 shares.
