BSX loses ground as bank falls

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange yesterday fell 26.71 points to close at 2,163.42.The biggest loser on the BSX was the Bank of Bermuda which saw its share price fall $1.50 to $30 while 3,400 shares traded.The Bank of Butterfield however gained $1 moving its share price up to $31 yesterday while 25,827 shares changed hands.

In the local insurance sector, BF&M gained 25 cents and closed at $10 while 1,587 shares traded during the day.
Utility company Belco Holdings fell $1 to $30 and traded 100 shares while the parent company of The Royal Gazette - Bermuda Press (Holdings) Ltd. saw its shares gain 45 cents, closing at $10.50 while 6,800 shares moved.
