The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index rose 24.42 points yesterday to close at 3,573.18 points, on the strength of the $0.50 rise of Butterfield Bank which saw 476 shares sell at 42.50.

The only other movement saw 1,000 Bermuda Aviation Services shares change hands at $13 ? unchanged from Tuesday.
