The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index yesterday gained 6.16 points to close at 2,592.05.

The Island's public banks and financial institutions - Bank of Bermuda, Bank of Butterfield, Bermuda Commercial Bank and LOM Holdings - generally dominate trading on the Exchange but none of these companies saw any movement on the BSX yesterday.

From the insurance sector, BF&M traded 3,000 shares while gaining 75 cents on their share price to close at $9.

Belco Holdings also moved up 75 cents to $29 while 100 shares moved.
