BSX slips for week
The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index fell 4.871 points last week to close at 4,417.63.
During a moderate week of trading, Masters led the advances, gaining $2.50 to close at a 52-week high of $22.50 as investors traded in 600 shares.
Bermuda Container Line rose $1 to close at $13.50 on volume of 900 shares, MediaHouse Limited Preferred rose 75 cents to close at $4.50 on volume of 478 shares and KeyTech Limited gained 50 cents to close at $12.50 as 4,371 shares changed hands.
Bermuda Commercial Bank warrants rose 25 cents to close at 75 cents as investors traded in 628 shares and Bermuda Aviation Services gained 25 cents to close at $6.50 on volume of 2,080 shares.
Bermuda Commercial Bank Limited fell 45 cents to close at $8.50 on volume of 5,916 shares and BF&M Limited fell $2.15 as 505 shares changed hands.
Meanwhile Butterfield Bank traded in 65,870 shares to close unchanged at $57.
The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX last week was $4,603,607.05 and the overall volume of shares was 100,489.
The Bermuda Insurance Index, which tracks the performance of publicly traded Bermuda-based insurers and reinsurers, closed up 5.60 points or 0.53 percent at 1,052.86 for the week.
