BSX surges 12.23 points

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index yesterday gained 12.23 points to close at 4,426.52.On a light day of trading, Butterfield Bank rose 25 cents to close at $57 as investors traded in 19,791 shares.Bermuda Aviation Services traded in 400 shares to close unchanged at $6.25, Bermuda Commercial Bank traded in 124 shares to close unchanged at $8.50 and 55 Masters shares changed hands to close unchanged at $20.
