Butterfield boosts BSX

Butterfield Bank's share price rose yesterday, helping to boost The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index on a light trading day.
Butterfield reversed recent losses and gained 50 cents to close at $55.50 on volume of 100 shares.
The rise in the BSX bellwether ? its market capitalisation of $1.6 billion is almost seven times greater than the next largest company on the Exchange ? sent the Index up 24.91 points to 4,787.17.
The gain offset a five cent decline in the stock of Argus Group ? the second biggest company ? to close at $12.95 on volume of 4,800 shares.
KeyTech closed unchanged at $15.55 on volume of 500 shares while Belco held at $23 with just 30 shares trading.
