The Island's insurance sector register has kicked off 2005 with seven new additions. The new companies added in January were Emstar Re Limited (Class one), Hamilton Reserve Insurance Company, Ltd. (class two) and three class three ventures: LMI Limited, Smart Home Reinsurance 2005-1 Limited and United Insurance Solutions (Bermuda) Ltd. Rounding off the list were two long-term insurers, Citiinsurance Reinsurance (Bermuda) Ltd and Global Life Ltd. In comparison, there were only five additions to the insurance register in January, 2004. The data was issued yesterday by the Insurance Division of the Bermuda Monetary Authority.
