Emig - new CableVision plant manager
yesterday announced the appointment of as its new plant manager and trainer.
In this role, Mr. Emig will reportedly be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of CableVision's new plant and headend, or control centre.
He is also charged with the ongoing training of CableVision's technicians, who are currently completing a training programme designed to equip them for servicing the company's all-new cable system.
Mr. Emig began working in the cable industry nearly 20 years ago and has experience with some of the largest and numerous cable companies in the US, including TCI, Storer Times Mirror, TKR and Intermedia.
In addition to his invaluable experience with large cable operations, a CableVision press statement said Mr. Emig has founded and started up a number of leading-edge technology companies, including Darwin Networks, a company specialising in the wireless integration of high-speed data services into cable systems, and Telemics, Inc., a manufacturer of monitoring devices in wireless engineering applications. has appointed as its non marine property reinsurance underwriter.
Mr. Ryan, 34, joins Goshawk from Gerling Global Reinsurance where he was a property reinsurance underwriter.
He was responsible for around ?60 million of property treaty business and gained particular experience relating to the support of Lloyd's Syndicates.
