Marsh Inc. has appointed Rory Gorman as head of its captive management office in Bermuda. Gorman joined Marsh in 1987 and most recently was responsible for Client Services in the Bermuda office.
He reports to Andrew Carr, whom he succeeds as office head. Carr remains based in Bermuda and will now concentrate on the development of Marsh's global Captive Management Practice, of which he is chairman.

Conyers Dill & Pearman has hired three new attorneys for their global funds practice.
Two lawyers have been recruited to augment the London operation and another joins the firm's Hong Kong office.
Christopher Johnson-Gilbert joins CD&P's London practice from Linklaters where he has been practising corporate law as a partner since 1986.
From 1988 to 1991 he was a Partner in the Hong Kong office of Linklaters and at that time was admitted to practise in Hong Kong. Christopher specialises in Investment Funds and has for many years been involved in advising companies incorporated in Bermuda, the Cayman Islands and the BVI.
Kieran Loughran, who trained at Norton Rose and gained experience at Ashursts, joins CD&P in London after spending the last four years as an attorney in a Cayman Islands firm where he enjoyed a varied corporate law workload with a focus on mutual funds.

Piers Alexander joins the Hong Kong office of CD&P. Piers, a graduate of the University of West of England, Bristol, England, brings with him many years of experience with Clifford Chance. His practice includes mutual funds and corporate finance. Lilian Woo, head of CD&P's Hong Kong office, commented: "We are delighted to have a person of Piers' expertise and experience with us. He will undoubtedly strengthen our rapidly expanding funds practice in Asia."
