ACE announced yesterday that it has appointed Evan Greenberg to its board of directors.

Mr. Greenberg, whose appointment takes effect immediately, joined ACE last November as vice chairman of ACE Ltd. and chief executive officer of ACE Tempest Re.

In February, he assumed responsibility for all of the company's international reinsurance operations.

Asset management company W.P. Stewart has announced that after more than five years with the company, Lisa D. Levey is leaving today. Ms Levey, the company's deputy managing director-general counsel, joined the company in April 1997 and has significantly participated in many of the company's major developments and initiatives, including its global geographic and product expansion and successful initial public offering in December 2000.

Ms Levy intends to continue her professional career as an in-house corporate counsel, though she has not yet selected another position.
