A conference aimed at encouraging women to take more responsibility for and power over their lives is being held at the Elbow Beach Hotel February 28 and March 1.

Entitled "Wealth, Health and Happiness - Having It All!, the two-day conference will see a host of facilitators speaking on a range of topics including wealth management, finance law and organisational development and education.

As she indicated the conference will be highly interactive, Nicola Jones, project manager for the conference and director, legal and Fiduciary Services for the Bank of Bermuda's Private Client Services division said: "We have endeavoured to make it enjoyable and informative, although these are serious issues we are tackling.

"Women are constantly challenged to make time to find out what they really want out of life and the do what it takes to get there."

Ms Jones also said she believed the conference, which will be facilitated by both local and international speakers, was vital for women who are facing increasing challenges and stresses in today's society.

"The conference is not about making grand statements, it is about imparting vital skills and critical information," she said.

The cost of attending the two-day conference is $350 if participants are registered by January 28, or $395 thereafter.
