Conyers Dill & Pearman names legal scholar

Conyers Dill & Pearman awarded more than $100,000 in scholarships to Bermudians at a special function held at CD&P?s Richmond House Conference Suites.

Jennifer Panchaud is the recipient of the Firm?s 2005 Scholarship Award and has received $25,000 to assist her in with the commencement of her LLB program at the University of Bristol in England.

She is an alumnus of the Bermuda High School for Girls and graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a BA (Hons) in Economics.

Jennifer has been a volunteer member of the Big Sisters organisation since 2002, and plays field hockey with the Bermuda Ladies Club league.

Other new recipients of financial awards from CD&P include this year?s bursary winners: Michaela Clemens and Kathleen Madeiros.

Miss Clemens received $7,500 toward her studies at Buckingham University, England. Miss Madeiros received $5,000 to assist her while she studies at the Guildford College of Law, England.

Zeman? Lottimore also received $5,000 as the third annual CD&P CedarBridge Academy Leadership Scholar.

Last year?s recipient of the full CD&P Legal Scholarship Award, David Stubbs, received a renewal award of $25,000 to assist him in pursuing the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at the Inns of Court School of Law in London, England.

The firm also renewed a number of scholarships.

Vanessa Bean and Jamari Douglas each received $5,000 renewals. Miss Bean is continuing her education in Bermuda at the Bermuda College, while Mr. Douglas is attending Morehouse University in the United States.

Other renewals include $10,000 for Michael Roache, BPP Law School, Manchester.

Chiara Nannini received $10,000 to continue studies at the London School of Economics while Kai Musson who is studying at the University of London (SOAS) received $8000.

Lakilah Harrigan, BPP Law School, London, received $7,000 while Anna Knapman who is studying at the College of Law at York and Jennifer Stervinou at the University of Kent each received renewals in the sum of $5,000.
