Endurance Specialty Holdings (Holdings) (ENH) has announced that Lou Adanio and Tom Bonarrigo have been promoted to key positions in its Bermuda operating subsidiary, Endurance Specialty Insurance Ltd. (Endurance Specialty).

Mr. Adanio, who joined Endurance Specialty in December 2001 as Executive Vice President of Direct Property Insurance will assume the position of Executive Vice President of Reinsurance Operations, most recently held by Thomas D. Bell, and the newly created role of Chief Underwriting Officer of Endurance Specialty Insurance Ltd. (Bermuda).

Mr. Bonarrigo, who joined Endurance in April 2002, will assume the position of Senior Vice President of Direct Property Insurance Operations of Endurance Specialty Insurance Ltd.

"Since joining Endurance last year, both have been instrumental in the build-out of Endurance's Direct Property Operations and helped to expand the technical focus we have achieved as an organisation. Mr. Adanio has more than 25 years of engineering, insurance and reinsurance underwriting experience. Prior to joining Endurance, Mr. Adanio was at Cambridge Risk Technical Underwriters, a managing general agent, where he focused on large and technical commercial property risks. He also spent 16 years at SCOR Reinsurance, where he served as Senior Vice President, responsible for large national accounts, and a member of the Board of Directors.

Mr. Adanio began his professional career as a practising engineer and construction manager for commercial and industrial projects. He holds a BSE in Civil Engineering from the Cooper Union, an MSE in Civil Engineering from Princeton University and an MBA from New York University.

Mr. Bonarrigo has approximately 20 years of insurance and engineering expertise. He joined Endurance from QBE Reinsurance where he served as an Assistant Vice President in the Facultative Property Department. Prior to that, Mr. Bonarrigo served as Vice President, Regional Property Manager and Industrial Fire Product Line Manager at Sorema in the Technical Lines Reinsurance Department. He also worked for almost nine years as Assistance Vice President in the Facultative Property Department of SCOR Reinsurance Company. Mr. Bonarrigo began his career as a project and construction engineer. He holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University.
