Graduates praised for achieving online MBAs

Two Bermudian students who were given scholarships by the E-Commerce Ministry graduated on Friday.Kevin Anderson and Khari Sharrieff completed their MBA degrees online from Schiller International University.E-Commerce Minister Renee Webb congratulated the pair in the House of Assembly on Friday.

E-Commerce Minister Renee Webb congratulated the pair in the House of Assembly on Friday.

Ms Webb said it took hard work in the evenings to complete the course as well as attendance at summer schools.

Mr. Anderson works as a physiotherapist at the Department of Health and Mr. Sharrieff works at Bermuda Telephone Company, where he has also completed a management programme.

She thanked them for their ?dedication and for being such fine ambassadors for Bermuda?.

Three other students have scholarships to study business online in Bermuda ? Renee Heyliger, Diunde Smith and Tanya Dickenson.

Ms Webb said that over the last three years her Ministry ?has established an excellent working relationship with the Schiller University? and that ?(her Department?s) cooperation with Schiller on their online programme is an excellent example of the fusion of education and e-business?.?

Attending the graduation ceremony on behalf of the Ministry was e-commerce consultant Nigel Hickson.
