Index gains more than 50 points

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index gained 57.719 points last week to close at 4,862.92.
During a light week of trading, BF&M led the advances as it gained $2.20 to close at $17.20 as investors traded in 5,000 shares.
Butterfield Bank rose 50 cents to close at $56.75 on volume of 3,688 shares and Argus rose 30 cents to close at $14.50 on volume of 2,636 shares.
Bermuda Commercial Bank fell 70 cents to close at $7.80 on volume of 8,900 shares and Bermuda Aviation Services fell 25 cents to close at $6.25 as 700 shares changed hands.
Meanwhile 200 Belco shares changed to closed unchanged at $23.50
The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX last week was $414,323.25. and the overall volume of shares was 21,124.
