Index gains over 55 points
The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index gained 55.11 points last week to close at 4,450.97
During a quiet of week of trading Argus was the only issue to advance, gaining $2.25 to close at $14.25 as investors traded in 2,300 shares.
BFM fell $1.35 to close at $17.25 on volume 5.900 shares, Bermuda Aviation Services fell 5 cents to close at $6.26 on volume of 240 shares and Bermuda Commercial Bank Warrants fell 60 cents to close at 50 cents.
Meanwhile Butterfield Bank traded in 6,872 shares to close unchanged at $57.50, Bermuda Commercial Bank traded in 1,900 shares to close unchanged at $8.50 and MediaHouse preferred traded in 2,009 shares to close unchanged at $3.75.
The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX last week was $1,442,132.95 and the overall volume of shares was 33,760.
