The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index gained 2.7 points yesterday to close at 3,771.64.

Butterfield Bank remained unchanged at $45.50 on volume of 601 shares, while Bermuda Press Holdings ? owners of The Royal Gazette ? rose 75 cents to close at $14 as investors traded 2,200 shares.

Kentucky Fried Chicken gained 25 cents to close at $5.75 on volume of 254 shares and Belco Holdings remained unchanged at $40.35 on volume of 50 shares and Argus Insurance remained unchanged at $27 as 108 shares changed hands.

The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX yesterday was $64,391.00 and the overall volume of shares was 3,213.
