Labour of love turns into new hardware supply store
Entrepreneur Gary Wolffe has moved from selling tools from the back of his truck to opening a new hardware supplies store.
Mr. Wolffe is the president of Smooth And Easy Floor Refinishing Limited specialising in sanding and refinishing wood floors and he has been operating since 1999.
Mr. Wolffe increased his business profitability by selling tools from the back of his truck which served as the catalyst to opening the store in Warwick in October. The store is located in the old Flavours Nightclub/Fisher Brothers building.
?There was an increasing demand for my products and I no longer could continue working from the back of my truck.?
Now the company has expanded its line of products to include being an authorised distributor of 3M International Abrasives, Hilti, Craftsman Tools, Marshalltown trowels and Diamond Blades.
The US National Wood Flooring Association member has carved a niche in the wood flooring industry serving clients in both the commercial and residential market.
?We carry a line of different wood floor species such as solid and engineered floors such as Brazilian Cherry and Bamboo to name a few and I am looking forward to introducing people to my new line of products.?
The store carries marine and auto products and a line of home maintenance products such as paint brushes, roller sleeves, wood glue, sandpaper, dust masks, mops, dust pans, wood floor cleaners and brooms.
?The basic tenet I strongly adhere is to give the consumer value for money and quality service. It is a challenge giving the customer what they want at affordable prices but to me its like an adrenaline rush and I enjoy the excitement of it.?
Clients of Smooth and Easy include BCM McAlpine, A J Lewis, Dynamic Excavating And Landscaping Limited, motor mechanics and Marine and Ports
Mr. Wolffe is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and the Bermuda Construction Association and attends workshops and international trade shows on a regular basis.
