Lawyers to meet and greet

Bermuda International Business Association (BIBA) will be hosting Lobbying To Lawyers a networking event this Wednesday for lawyers and students aspiring to the law industry.

"We have noticed that a lot of students on the Island who have received an education and have a degree are still unable to find employment in their field," BIBA Local Events coordinator Jamela Daniels said.

"We have the college student network event in July encompassing all the industries and those have been extremely successful but we noticed that a lot of students aren't able meet or have a one on one conversation with industry representatives because there are so many people."

Consequently BIBA have decided to be more selective and place the industries into individualised categories or sectors, so BIBA will have its first networking event involving exclusively members of the legal industry and have an event for the accounting, IT and other sectors.

"These smaller events are mainly for students on the Island who haven't found employment in their respective fields."

The cocktail reception will be held at Silk Thai Cuisine from 5.30 p.m. until 7.30 p.m.
