Logic aids working from home
Logic Communications has announced the launch of viaLogic, a new remote access service, for their corporate customers which the company says will put an end to legacy designs.
The viaLogic system uses the recently launched DSL network to route traffic from an employee's home to their corporate LAN (Local Area Network) which means employees no longer use their dial-up Internet account to access the company network.
Logic Communications accomplishes this by creating an IP "tunnel" between the employee's access to the DSL network, through Logic Communications for authentication and security, to the company's network.
"This will have a beneficial impact on companies with employees working from their homes," says Bill Dickinson, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Logic. "It's more secure than traditional modems transmitting data from employees, because viaLogic doesn't touch the Internet on route to the corporate network, so it eliminates all security concerns. And by using DSL the "working from home" experience just got faster and more convenient."
Mr. Dickinson also said: "viaLogic is just one of the products we will be rolling out over the next few months as part of Logic's strategy to provide end-to-end solutions for our customers."
