Opinions are mixed on the strength of the local economy, according to the latest Royal Gazette online poll.

In the poll, which ended on Thursday on www.theroyalgazette.com, 29.9 percent of the 204 respondents said they believed the economy was "flat" in answer to the question "How do you rate the strength of the Bermuda economy?"

Some 40 percent of respondents believe the economy is weak (29.4 percent) or very weak (11.3 percent). A significant number of people believe the economy is strong (23 percent) while 6.4 percent said it was very strong.
