Salt Rock Grill owner Rick Olson has launched legal action against his former general manager Heather Joy Burrows.

Mrs. Burrows was the general manager of the Somerset restaurant and bar from the time it opened almost two years ago until two weeks ago when she ceased working there.

When the business first opened in the home of the listed Loyalty Inn, she described herself to this newspaper as a ?co-owner?.

Mr. Olson said yesterday that while ?that is what she used to tell people she never was an owner? and she never had any shares in company.

Mr. Olson ? who owns The Beach on Front Street and is a minority shareholder in Square One and Tuscany ? said he holds 100 percent ownership in the Salt Rock Grill.

The writ filed by his company in the Supreme Court is part of ?an ongoing criminal investigation and obviously there are some financial irregularities that are being investigated by the fraud division of the police?, he said.

Business at the Somerset venue however remains ?excellent?.

Ms Burrows could not be reached for comment.
