Solar Enterprises delisted on BSX

Solar Enterprises, a company formed more than 20 years ago to buy and develop land in the Turks and Caicos Islands, has delisted from the Bermuda Stock Exchange after selling the property and putting itself into liquidation.

Solar announced in February that it had completed the sale of 1,375 acres of undeveloped land that the Company owned in East Caicos for $8.5 million.

Yesterday, the BSX said Solar had voluntarily withdrawn its listing after shareholders approved the compulsory redemption of their shareholdings at a special general meeting held on July 10 and the fund being placed in voluntary liquidation.

The company had previously said it intended to issue a dividend once the sale of the land was completed, but details on that could not be confirmed yesterday.
