SPARKLING IDEA

With the launch of IslandJewellers.com entrepreneur Anthony Foster is offering an online solution where customers can view products on Island.

Mr. Foster took the initiative to build his own online jewellery retail business after trying to get a watch repaired overseas.

After finding out how costly it can be to do so he discovered through research that there are more cost effective ways to purchase jewellery.

As a married man with a daughter Mr. Foster quickly realised there was a demand for unique designs and specialty gift items.

With the help of a credited appraiser and a number of reputable suppliers along with online retail, marketing and business specialists, he created a new company offering high end and one-of-a-kind pieces.

Mr. Foster has also established associations with local and international jewellery appraisers both to authenticate any jewellery the company offers.

"The challenge Bermudians face is not being able to see, feel or smell products until they are delivered. If the products are not suitable it can be difficult and sometimes impossible to return them," Mr. Foster said.

"IslandJewellers.com provides the convenience of online shopping along with the comfort of knowing that items can be easily returned or replaced."

The company is willing to help customers create their own jewellery designs or help them find jewellery items they are looking to purchase.

Clients will be able to either purchase items directly from the website or make an appointment to view items at his business located in Harrington Sound.

The website is expected to go live on Tuesday, November 29 when IslandJewellers.com will be hosting a reception to officially launch of the website.

The company's products will be on display at the launch which be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.at Harley's Room in the Fairmont Hamilton Princess.
