A new company Pack it All has been set up in a bid to help its customers move from Bermuda painlessly.

Twenty-year shipping industry veteran Roger Moniz has launched the new company designed to meet the needs of moving residents.

Mr. Moniz's new firm intends to specialise in the packing of all household items, precious cargo such as china and crystal - anything clients either believe to be irreplaceable or just wish to have someone else pack.

The company claims it has multiple methods of shipping at its deposal and can move freight locally or international "making a relocation or move as painless as possible".

Mr. Moniz has joined up with local shipping agent Bermuda Export Sea Transfer Ltd. (BEST Shipping) to help in the shipping of all residential and business goods.

"Together they are able to offer the best in ocean, air freight and courier services at very competitive rates," said a release from the company.

Mr. Moniz started in the freight industry in 1983, when he joined Delta Airlines. He has also worked at Bermuda Forwarders as airport manager and Federal Express as country manager before he set up Pack it All.

Mr. Moniz said: "For ten years I had wanted my own business and when this opportunity came up I told myself `this is it !' I have a lot to thank BEST for as they allowed me to join forces with them."

Although he has finally realised his dream of owning his own company, Mr. Moniz doesn't sit back and manage from behind a desk all day, instead he says he is out in the field putting his expertise to use.

"When you call Pack it All, you deal with me directly, " he said.

"I do the initial survey for the goods to be moved, field calls and pack on every job. I take care of the pick up of the items and customs paperwork for the move. Send your goods via courier and I will pick them up for free. On local moves I will unpack the items myself and will put them wherever you specify."

Mr. Moniz said that by using Pack it All, clients can get insurance coverage for the full value of any lost or stolen goods.

Mr. Moniz noted: "As we do offer speciality packing materials to customers wishing to pack some items themselves, we have to inform them that our insurance coverage policies will only cover for losses and not damages to those particular items packed by themselves."

Mr. Moniz's services have proved to be a blessing for BEST, exports manager Steven Sousa said.
