Tucker takes over from Joaquin
Ernst & Young partner Gil Tucker officially succeeded retiring Anthony Joaquin as managing partner on Friday.
Mr. Tucker has been with Ernst & Young since 1976 and became a partner in the Bermuda office in 1992. He serves clients in the retail, hospitality and financial services investment and insurance industries and in the past has served on various local committees including The Bermuda International Business Association (BIBA) and The Chamber of Commerce. He is a past president of the Hamilton Rotary Club. Mr. Tucker currently serves on several government advisory boards and is the chairman of The Bermuda Career Centre as well as chairman and trustee of the Finance Committee at Saltus Grammar School. He is a member of The Bermuda Institute of Chartered Accountants, The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and The District of Columbia Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
The company has also appointed two new Partners. Wanda Mello is a partner in the insurance audit practice with responsibility for audits of international insurance and reinsurance clients, including SEC registrants and captive insurance companies. Chris Gauk is an engagement partner within the investment practice.
